Last night was the annual Ranald & Iain concert/Inverness Folk
Club reunion. Which means today is the annual filk-based-on-a-
song-they-did.
Riding Home
TTO Rolling Home
Call someone to fetch a cushion,
Set me on a calmer horse,
Heave him round and pass the postbag,
For to Morpork is my course.
Riding home, riding home,
Riding home across the Plains.
Riding home to old Morporkia,
Riding home with saddle pains.
To Sto Lat in just one morning,
Now my bath is filled with ice.
No-one heard what I was calling,
When Boris made me think twice.
Riding home, riding home,
Riding home across the Plains.
Riding home to old Morporkia,
Riding home with saddle pains.
Now Sto Lat I leave behind me,
Back to the A.M.P.O.
There's another postbag waiting,
What comes next I just don't know.
Riding home, riding home,
Riding home across the Plains.
Riding home to old Morporkia,
Riding home with saddle pains.
